Without a solid foundation the building will fall & the front lever is no different. When you begin this journey the front lever will feel like an impossible venture which is exactly what you should be feeling at this point. Level 1 consists of 5 of the most effective progressions to lay that foundation. You will struggle with these progressions but when you are ready for your assessment you will have them mastered.
This level is built upon 4 progressions. The absolute “bread & butter” of front lever training & I say this because you will be taking these progressions with you in some shape or form for the rest of your journey. Master these fundamental movements & watch the strength unfold.
Level 3 is where you get a glimpse of what you thought was once impossible is now achievable. The realisation that you do possess the ability to build the strength needed to pull off this unreachable “move of the gods” is now actually within your grasp. The same progressions as before with a few minor tweaks to the numbers is all that is needed for this level.
Arguably the toughest of all 5 levels, hence the sub-heading “perseverance”. This level will make you feel like you’ve been transported back in time to level 1 when you struggled with your tuck hold. The beautiful element about this level though is that you WILL have a full front lever by the end of it. 6 very tough variations of the previous progressions with a few new add-ons to challenge you. Be patient, be consistent & trust the process.
Congratulations, you made it through level 4, you have achieved a full front lever & you are now an FL5 Level 5 athlete. However, this level is all about the quality of said front lever. You have 5 progressions to master & with only 1 more assessment to complete, you will, by the end of this level be the proud owner of one of the most pristine quality full front levers in the game.
Even though anyone can master the front lever, the truth is that everyone starts from a different, unique place.
